James Sulzer is the author of Writ in Water: A novel of John Keats and The Voice at the Door: A novel of Emily Dickinson (Fuze Publishing). Other published works include the novel Nantucket Daybreak (Walker and Co.) and a trilogy of middle grade novels for children, The Card People. A graduate of Yale University, where he was a Yale National Scholar, he and his family have lived on Nantucket for 40 years. Besides working as a commercial scalloper, he taught elementary and middle school students for 30 years and also produced countless “sonic id’s” for Public Radio.
