Wendell Minor

About

Wendell Minor is nationally known for the artwork he has created for over fifty award-winning children’s books. He is also the cover artist and designer for books by Pat Conroy and David McCullough, and has created covers for the young adult editions of Nat Philbrick’s books. He has received over 300 awards from every major graphics competition. His work has been exhibited widely throughout the country in various venues, including the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, the Art Institute of Chicago, The Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seapor and the Boston Public Library. Every few months for the past 25 years a book is published graced with a Wendell Minor cover. In the past year, these have included two books which he also wrote: If You Were a Panda Bear and How Big Could Your Pumpkin Grow? He lives and works in Washington, Connecticut.
