After spending childhood summers on Nantucket, Becky (she/her/hers) moved to the island full-time in 1990. While she can’t claim to be a native Nantucketer, Becky can trace her ancestry back to the original founders and whaling captains. An educator for over 20 years at the Cyrus Peirce Middle School, Becky finally feels settled and fulfilled in her role as the middle school librarian. She works closely with the Foundation to bring inspiring authors to our schools. An avid reader, she inspires her students to read and enjoys talking about books with them.
For over 20 years, Becky has been actively involved with the Marla Ceely Lamb Cancer Travel Fundraiser, coordinating the auction and planning the event. Recently, she became a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. When she’s not reading, Becky can be found watching her sons' hockey games, walking the South Shore beaches, or at the yoga studio.
